  I'll add that they now open from 9 in the morning until 10 at night, Monday to Saturday, with some opening on Feasts and bank Holidays.

  The one downside is the lack of staff, they are all running around trying to unpack deliveries, stack shelves, answer customer queries AND man the tills. So there are queues . . . The thing to do is to avoid the peak times - especially dropping off and picking up the children from the 3 Primary Schools within spitting distance.

  They changed around the whole of the inside about a year ago, took me a while to get used to it, but it works well. They have a good fish counter (although not as good as Mercadona up the street), and a meat counter with a butcher on hand. Good value too.

  Over the years this supermarket has changed its name and extended its opening hours.

  Recently remodelled. Good quality a big shopping trolley ends up being pricy but they have a " chequeahorro" in which you can accumulate an 8% of your total purchase in order to spend it on what you like. Club carrafour is called.

  Mind you, there's still a touch of Andalucia about the latter - I once asked whether they opened at 9.15 or 9.30, as they had both times displayed. "We open at 9.15 or 9.30", was the reply, "It depends". "Depends on what?" I said. I received a funny look. "It depends on what time we open the door" was the answer. :-)

  It seems great to be in the middle of a town, without being a hypermarket, and yet, great produce, nice prices. Some merchandise looks kind of old, and I wouldn't risk on the 50% offer for those near to expire. But despite that, there are some product I rather buy here than in the town's hyper. Many cashiers are newbies, but that's not new for Carrefour. At least they seem to have some experienced ones too.
