  Lucas Bornico is the rudest and most incompetent lawyer I ever met. After he told my (female) estate agent to "shut up" and wrote me several rude emails, where he insulted me in many ways, I vowed to never work with him on completing sales again, and will warn off other unsuspecting foreigners. He is also the most unprepared, and is willing to produce and have his clients sign paperwork that contains vital errors. He put the wrong finca number, address, and personal details on a document that I had to correct 11 errors on myself to stop his client buying the wrong property from me. There was no apology. He accused me of being "unlawful" after trying to convince his clients I had a debt on my property and forcing them to pay it when I refused to believe it. After some investigation myself with the notary, it turned out there was no debt on the property and he was mistaken, and this was due to a very simple point of property law he did not seem to understand. Again, no apology. He didn't even look at me at the signing and did not attempt to even shake my hand. A typical example of a rip-off lawyer on the Costa Del Sol. Horrible experience, and if you are a woman, you may as well forget trying to communicate with him, because he is also a sexist and thinks all women are stupid and silly, especially foreign ones. He also thinks his English is great, which it is not, and I think he learned it through watching Tom Cruise movies in the 80s because he uses cliches all the time that are completely out of place in professional situations, but took it personally when I suggested we spoke Spanish instead, and would not do so, even though I am an advanced speaker and used to dealing with contracts in Spanish. This meant he was getting confused with simple requests I made, and actually thought it was acceptable to present financial statements with mistakes in them, such as putting 2015 instead of 2016, and would not allow me to sell the property to his clients in the way I wanted to as normal, retaining fees that are not normally retained as if I was a flight risk despite the fact I run a multi-million euro business in Spain and have lived here for seven years. His arrogance was insulting to all at the table of the signing when the senior notary and a lawyer with many more years experience than him had checked figures, he held us up by insisting on checking with a calculator, despite the fact it was his errors that had caused a delay. Avoid like the plague. I am complaining to the school of lawyers about this man and sending them the emails he sent me. I think if he didn't work for his family's company he would have been fired many times over in his career, but lucky for him he's hiding behind his father, who probably bails him out all the time.
